Students from the faculty of human sciences at the Vaal University of Technology who are studying public relations (PR EXCEL) conducted a program on substance addiction awareness. The activity was a physical fitness training and soccer awareness program. The event took place at Evaton West Ex. 4 On the 6th of November 2022.
The goal of the event was to inform the local youth and community about the things they could do to avoid abusing alcohol, marijuana, or other substances. The goal of the event was to raise awareness of Lesedi La Bathja Rehabilitation Center in the community and encourage people to help the NPO in any way they can by showing them that the organization is there to support them and assist them in overcoming obstacles.
The most important thing was that the young were also catered to as those who needed food. The (PR Excel) had prepared a lunch for those taking part in the program. Three organizations—Vaal University of Technology, Lesedi La Bathja Rehabilitation Center, and Emfuleni municipality—were there to support the program. Medals and trophies were among the prizes given out as incentives for participation.
