Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has nine days to explain to President Cyril Ramaphosa why he should not suspend her in terms of Section 194 of the Constitution. Some insisted that she must resign as public protector to spare herself being embarrassed. Mkhwebane says her removal will not assist communities that are exploited by their leaders.
Mkhwebane told journalists she was not worried and that she would finish her term in office. Mkhwebane is seeking legal advice
