A dead body found in a national park.

 

Gabby Petito a Vlogger from Florida reported missing earlier this month. The update came on Sunday during a press conference held by the FBI and U.S National park Services.

“Earlier today human remains were discovered consistent with Gabriel Petito, ”said Charles Jones of FBI Devenor. “ The vicinity around Spread Creek campsite will remain closed to public until further notice”

Jones said that the body was still awaiting a full forensic identification, but The Petitos family has been notified. The cause of death still remains unknown as it hasn’t been determined yet. The FBI continues to look for information from anyone near the campsite in Grand Teton National Park.

Petito, 22 has not been seen since her boyfriend, 23-year-old Brian Laundrie returned home to Florida from a cross country trip without her, her last appearance was on August 24 after a video footage that showedthe both of them checking out of a hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah, authorities said.

Laundrie refused to co-operate with authorities on Petitos disappearance except through a statement from his lawyer, and he has since been named a person of interest in the investigation.
