Uncle waffles is body shamed for having small boobs

 Uncle waffles is a 22 years old dj and producer from swaziland. A very successful young lady who knows what she does and came up in the industry all by herself. Uncle waffles became popular when she came up with dance moves to young stunna’s song called Adiwele. We all know how twitter is, when they notice someone good with their work they start talking. Twitter people said her career is going down after the Adiwele song because in most gigs Uncle waffles would first play and dance to the song, however she released an Ep in March called Red dragon. It has a song that is a hit all over south africa and nebouring countries call tanzania. 

On instagram we also saw Drake, an international singer and rapper from America showing interest to Uncle waffles after that tanzania song. Uncle waffles is the only african dj that drake follows on instagram. Drake also reposted uncle waffle’s picture on his stories. 

Last week, from the 25th of April Uncle waffles was on top trends in twitter. People saying that uncle waffles calling herself ‘uncle’ was not a mistake because she is trans. This was after people seeing uncle waffles with a group of trans people which were referred as her dancers at the cottonfest2022. Uncle waffles was body shamed for having small boobs, people were saying she is a trans because she doesn’t have boobs. However she responded to this gender shaming and said “I’m an ally of the trans world, I’ve always been” she added that her being a public figure it doesn’t mean  they can take advantage of her “singa jwayelani” that’s what she said. 

It’s really sad seeing south africans body shaming someone about how they are built meanwhile we cry about harassment, abuse, gender based violence everyday. It shows that our sisters are not safe in this country. We are not safe.
